COALA at AI-Café

Applying Digital Intelligent Assistants in Manufacturing

16th February 2022, 15:00 – 16:00 CET

Abstracts

COgnitive Assisted agile manufacturing for a LAbor force supported by a trustworthy AI (COALA) is a project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme, aiming at developing close collaborations between humans and AI.

COALA will provide a solution for cognitive assistance that consists of a composition of trustworthy AI components with a voice-enabled digital intelligent assistant as an interface. The solution will support workers that need to use analytics tools and new workers that perform on-the-job training.

Complementary to the technology, an education and training concept that focuses on building blue-collar worker competencies in human-AI collaboration will be developed.

The COALA solution will transform how workers perform their jobs and it allows companies to maintain or increase the quality of their production processes and their products.

AI-Cafés

COALA aims to contribute to the Europe’s AI communities and help build a connected AI community across Europe, by actively participating in related activities of the AI communities.

The AI-Cafés are an online forum to gain insights into the European AI scene. Participants get the chance to share knowledge and experiences and meet stakeholders from various areas of AI research and application. The AI-Cafés are being organised and hosted by Grassroots Arts as part of the H2020 project – AI4media activities. The recordings of the past Web Cafes you can find on the AI-Cafe video channel.

For questions, comments and suggestions of new speakers and topics, please contact the Web Café Manager Carmen Mac Williams: carmen@grassroots-arts.eu.
